The librarian who serves our local prison has had an offer which she isn't quite sure about. Has anyone else been approached by this company and have any feedback?
"I had a phone call yesterday from a Michael who said he was from the City Publishers He said they were a book distributers and publishers and had some funding to encourage prisoners to read. He said they wanted to donate true crime book to prison libraries in London.
There was something that didn't feel right about it. He wanted my full name but wouldn't give me his. I have contacted the other prison librarians and one felt the same way as me. The prison he said he had contacted had never spoken to him (although her other staff may have)."
