The American Council of Learned Societies is pleased to announce the fourth competition of the ACLS Public Fellows program. In 2014, the program will place 20 recent humanities and humanistic social science PhDs in two-year staff positions at partnering organizations in government and the nonprofit sector. This year's host organizations include the American Refugee Committee, Kiva, and the Trust for Public Land. This career-building initiative aims to demonstrate that the capacities developed in the advanced study of the humanities have wide application, both within and beyond the academy.
