JOB TITLE: Executive Director
DESCRIPTION:
. Are you committed to LGBTI asylum seeker, refugee and immigrant rights?
. Do you have what it takes to run a small charity and build on success?
. Can you provide visionary leadership whilst committing to cooperative working?
If so, you could be the right person to be the next Executive Director of UKLGIG.
Since 1993 UKLGIG has had a tremendous impact supporting and campaigning on behalf of LBGTI people with immigration and asylum problems. Currently asylum rights and support to individual asylum seekers are our priorities. Find out more at http://uklgig.org.uk/
You will need to be:
Experienced in working in the voluntary and community sector and in fundraising;
Able to communicate sensitively, sympathetically and authoritatively;
Familiar with the LGBTI community;
Prepared to work hard for a cause about which you are passionate.
You will manage and develop UKLGIG's work in order to best support LGBTI asylum seekers.
. SALARY: £30,000- £35,000 according to skills and experience
. LOCATION: London
. HOURS: Full time (part-time or job share will also be considered)
. CLOSING DATE: 10 or 17th March 2014. Interviews of short-listed applicants will be held in the week beginning 24th March.
