Forgive my straying into the controversial. As someone who examines lab results and attempts to contribute to patient care by phoning results where appropriate, my initial enquiry is about a data collection mechanism which will include the nuances with which this work is carried out. A simple numerical cut-off will not suffice, or will suggest a phone rate overwhelmingly less than 95%, when cumulative abnormal results are excluded, abnormalities which are acknowledged in the clinical information etc. are excepted.
