Hi Martha,
Did I not mention the hashtag - OOPS!
It is #mobilewifisplash
Any you find, please tag. I'm just using twitter to crowdsource examples. Lots of people on this list have already contributed (thanks, al!)
I am adding to the Storify that collates them for conveniencehttps://storify.com/rosemarybeetle/mobile-splash-screens
And I will review and add commentary I due course (on the blog www.vam.ac.uk/digital<http://www.vam.ac.uk/digital> as usual)
Andrew

Thanks for all the info Andrew. Will definitely be interested in your
findings on the wifi page when you publish them. Are you getting much data
on what the take up of these via the wifi page is? I seem to remember from
some earlier research at the V&A that a large proportion of visitors
weren't actually aware there was wifi at all, so does the challenge then
not just switch to advertising the wifi? One of our key demographics is
parents, and I wonder if they aren't even less likely to use this route,
but that's just a guess.
And thanks Adrian for the suggestion. I'm going to be doing a bit of a
trawl around other galleries and museums to see what they're doing, so will
post on twitter under #museumappads, clunky, but it'll do! If anyone else
has pics or examples of what they're doing would be very grateful if you
also could share here or on the hashtag.
thanks,
Martha
