*Apologies for cross posting*
We are pleased to announce that Taylor & Francis Group are offering a sponsored place at The Innovation, Inspiration and Creativity Conference to a recently qualified professional librarian with an undergraduate or postgraduate library studies/information qualification who has been working in libraries for up to two years. The sponsorship covers conference registration, travel costs and accommodation totalling £700.
Follow this link http://i2c2conference.org/programme.html to see the exciting range of library-related talks that are lined up at the conference, taking place on the 6th and 7th March 2014 at The Studio, Manchester. There is something for everyone, including playing with LEGO, guerrilla librarians, how to build innovative library spaces and much, much more!
If you would like to be considered for a place at the conference, simply tell us in no more than 300 enthusiastic words why you want to attend. Explaining how your attendance will impact your daily job and how you aim to disseminate the knowledge gained from the conference. In return for the sponsorship, we will ask you to blog/write a summary and participate in an interview about your conference experience. Awards will be adjudicated by an i2c2 committee member. Please submit your application to: Alison Sharman ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>) by Tuesday 18th February 2014. The successful applicant for the grant will be announced no later than 24th February 2014.
We look forward to receiving your applications.
Warm regards
Alison
