Have you made sure that you have the very latest version of VMware Player? If the vm is stable enough run the following command:
sudo yum update -y
This will update the OS (version 6.3 is quite old now, 6.5 is current) and should help with the CPU compatibility warning messages.
You will have to reboot after the updates have finished installing.
