Dear FSL Experts!
I'm in the midst of running higher-level analysis for my design. I read through FEAT user guide on the web, in particular, ANOVA: 1 factor-4 level may suit me well. My questions:
1. I don't really get the reason behind assigning all '1' for EV1 to represent D. Why can't we just put zeros except for the last two inputs as '1' (inputs from D condition).

If, as well as the ANOVA test, you wanted to interpret individual contrasts:
If we define m,a,b,c as the 4 PE values, then
A=a+m, B=b+m, C=c+m, D=m.
Thus the first PE, m, is level D, the second is a=A-m=A-D, etc.
To get the mean: mean = (A+B+C+D)/4 = m+(a+b+c)/4 = contrast [ 1 1/4 1/4 1/4 ]

2. After running the higher-level FEAT, I scroll down the 'results' page and I didn't see the red curve (data), only the cope partial and full model fits. Does that mean that my model is invalid? A sample of full model fit (without the data) is attached.
Thank you,
regards
