Maastricht University Language Centre is hosting a free half-day symposium on the subject of the growing use of English in the Higher Education class room on 24 April 2014. The event is being held to mark the retirement of Bob Wilkinson after 24 years working at the UM and for several years before that. We would very much like you to attend and contribute to the discussion and to join us for some light refreshment afterwards.

In addition to the symposium, we shall compile a book of personal tributes to Bob Wilkinson in recognition of his contribution to the field for nearly 30 years. This book will be presented as a surprise to Bob to mark his retirement and we are seeking contributions of any nature to be included. Contributions should be in Word format (portrait), and may include either academic or personal messages or accolades. Pictures, which should be in jpeg format and in as high resolution as possible, are particularly welcome. 

Whether you are able to attend or not, we invite your input. Please send your contribution to the registration address shown on the attached flyer by 4 April at the very latest.

We look forward to seeing you at the symposium and to receiving your input to the commemorative book.
