Hi Duncan
We had a student who did this last year and it turned into a nightmare...
He did AS Further Maths here and AS Maths at his old school, when it came to results day we had no grade for his Further Maths and it was then that I found out that he had not been cashed in for the AS Maths at school. This was quite easy to rectify but we then had to apply to transfer the AS Maths from AQA to Edexcel who he had done his Further Maths, this whole process took about a month. Other than that it all went well!!
If you are using the same board for both I am sure it will be straightforward as long as his AS Maths is cashed in.

Subject: A2 Maths and Further Maths at different centres
Hi All
Excuse my ignorance, but I have never come across this before and am not convinced by the answer I am getting from the Exam Board.
We have a student who is being taught under a consortium arrangement whereby he is studying A2 Maths at another school and A2 Further Maths at this College. He will be sitting both in June this year and we will of course be using the same UCI but different centre numbers.
Given the rules on unit selection for both Maths and Further Maths under "normal" circumstances I would expect the Exam Board to select the best units for the Maths grade and leave the next best set for the Further Maths grade.
Does anyone have experience of this working in the situation of this student - units being taken at different centres at the same time?
Thanks
Duncan
