Hi Everyone - I just posted a video of a seminar I gave recently about the evidence/diagnosis and hype around type 2 diabetes. I’ve taken the best available evidence I could find and integrated it into a “conversation” with Tom Hanks - who was recently diagnosed with T2DM.
It is long (55 minutes) but as I’m sure you can imagine it takes a while to decode all the evidence and rhetoric around type 2 diabetes and to have a conversation with a patient :)
The seminar contains lots of clips from his movies and hopefully you will at least find it entertaining.
I think most people will be surprised at the results when one looks at the evidence that we have especially when it comes to the actual risks (lower than what many people think) and the benefits of treatments (less than what many people think).
I think it is a must see for people who have T2DM or treat T2DM.
Would love feedback.
