[Please circulate to interested parties]

Dear Colleagues,

You are invited to join us for an amazing few days of maqamic music at the
School of Oriental and African Studies [SOAS, University of London].

"We" are a group of musicians and musicologists from Egypt, Iran, Turkey,
Kurdistan and Greece, working in the context of the "Maqam Project @ SOAS".

We use the term "maqamic music" to encompass musics that we have been
collecting from Egypt, Turkey, Lebanon, Kurdistan and Greece.

We invite you (indeed we urge you, because this kind of opportunity comes
very rarely in life...) to join us at some or all of the following events.

[When booking, please specify clearly which events you are booking.]

With best regards,

Ed Emery
