Applications are invited for a Lectureship in Jewish Music based within the
Department of Music, Faculty of Arts and Humanities. The Department of Music
is the leading centre in Europe for teaching and research in the music of
Asia and Africa. Your principal responsibilities will be to lecture on
Jewish music to BA and Master’s students, contribute to interregional,
interdisciplinary or thematic teaching and research in Music, supervise
research students, engage in research and publication, and contribute to the
administration of programmes of study in Music. Ability to teach the musics
of the Middle East and/or popular musics may be an advantage. You will have
a relevant PhD and appropriate publications. The post commences on September
1st 2014.
