medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
apologies for cross-posting
I have just posted a batch of photos from the Musée de Cluny to my
online archive. They include both some very well-known items (Nicomachi
ivory panel, Basel Antependium) and the usual gathering of oddities that
caught my fancy. There are not as many objects as I would have liked to
shoot, since getting around the glare on the antependium's case was very
time-consuming! I did get the Visigothic hanging crowns as well, and
will post those once they are fully processed.

I am rather curious about the C5 lead panels. Does anyone know how these
were used? I do not have their dimensions, but as I remember them each
is roughly the size of the Nicomachi panel. They must of course be much
heavier.
best to all,
Genevra
