Dear MCGers,
just a quick reminder that tomorrow is the last day for nominating
yourself or someone else for the MCG Committee as nominations should
be sent to [log in to unmask] by midday tomorrow.
(You can also do it during the AGM but things go more smoothly if you
contact us in advance.)
Feel free to drop me a line if you've got any questions, whether it's
about the types of work (varied, from organising and programming
events, overseeing marketing and comms, liaising with MCG members
about their needs and helping us represent all levels of the sector or
making sure our meetings are organised and minuted properly), how much
time is required (up to four committee meetings in person or on the
phone each year plus helping out on whichever tasks you volunteer for)
or whether we have good biscuits at our meetings (definitely something
to aim for!).
If you've meant to comment on our proposed Constitutional changes, now
would also be a good time, though of course you can comment during
Friday's AGM too.
And finally, if you've booked your ticket for Friday's Museums on the
Web conference, check your email for further information via
EventBrite, and I look forward to seeing you there. UKMW13 may be sold
out, but our traditional Thursday evening welcome drinks are open to
all - and this year we're on a boat, conveniently moored at
Embankment.
Cheers, Mia
