Janet - hi!
I don't amend the EDIFACT file at all. I usually just select the programmes I want to import from within the "Tools" view, and then the system imports just those. You can click on each of the programmes, and holding down the CTRL key (I think - or perhaps the Shift key) you can highlight each one you want.
Admittedly I rarely get all the ones I need first time around - but I find it fairly straightforward to go through the process again to pick up the missing ones!
Hope this helps.
Regards
Margot

Subject: BTEC EDIFACT base data in unite
Hi
We use unite and request BTEC EDIFACT base data from Edexcel on line in order to make entries for registrations for BTEC.
When requesting the base data it does not seem possible to request it by programme, even when I tried this I was sent base data for all BTEC qualifications that we are approved for. I have emailed Edexcel abou this.
I wonder what other centres do, at the moment I have to edit the EDIFACT data so that I only bring in the programmes and units we are running. This is a very time consuming task and open to errors, so I just thought I would ask what other centres who use unite and EDIFACT base data do.
Thanks
Janet Hancey
