Hi Jerry,
Thank you for your 'observations'.:
<snip> '1. The locus of affordance of design outcomes is indeterminate in dynamic social systems.'
Response: Nope. The locus of affordance of design outcomes is particularly tightly circumscribed in dynamic social systems. There are many reasons and explanations as to why this is so. One of them is the reason Jerry was responding to my previous post.
<snip> '2. Design theory is best treated pragmatically as an open concept to be evaluated for its usefulness and reliability rather than its epistemological validity and justification.'
Response: Describe on what basis and using what methods is 'best' evaluated? Or is this just Jerry's opinion, rather than located in any form of evaluation?
<snip> '3. Prediction: Theoretical archeologists will uncover design theory nestled around the crossroads of epistemology and axiology.'
Response: On what basis and using what methods is this prediction made? Or is this just a guess or subjective speculation?
Best wishes ,
Terry
