medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
*Mobility*
Medieval and Renaissance Drama Society Sponsored Session
International Medieval Congress, Kalamazoo, Michigan
May 8-11, 2014
This session invites abstracts for papers that consider the topic of
mobility within the varied contexts of medieval performance. How and
why did communities employ ideas and/or practices of movement in
performance and what were the consequences? Contributors are invited to
investigate the nature of mobility, exploring the ways that movement
might integrate social, devotional, geographical, visual, and/or
physical modes of expression within specific cultural and historical
contexts. Papers that address a wide variety of time periods,
geographical locations, and scholarly approaches are welcome.
Please submit a one-page abstract *and* a completed Participant
