Hello Friends, while I agree that Jen's piece looks exactly like a
crustacean because of the stippling pattern and the dotted line running
along the side, I am perplexed by the thickness of this piece! I have
never known a crab or a lobster (either an archaeological specimen or on
my dinner plate) to have such a thick exoskeleton. It is at least 4mm
thick! And a long fragment at 6.5 cms... does anyone know a crustacean
species like this?
