Hi all,
We're talking with our main community housing provider about getting their new tenants signed up to library membership (via temp.online joining) when they see their customer service advisors to sign their tenancy agreements and receive relevant information.
This will highlight the free public library services available to the tenant, has potential to increase permanent library membership and the housing provider hopes to increase digital inclusion/participation as their tenants use library facilities to go online and manage their benefit payments etc.
(ties in well with digital-by-default agendas and anxiety about payment reductions due to intro of universal credit)
Has anyone got positives/negative experiences about this type of approach you'd be happy to share and from which we can learn before progressing further? Or there may be alternatives to consider?
with thanks
David Reed
