Dear Mailbase users,
We currently offer urinary amylase but a recent audit showed that we are
receiving an average of just over one patient test a month, plus
analysing some 5 times this number in EQA samples. However, in addition
to serum amylase, we also have serum lipase as an additional test for
pancreatitis, so are considering removing the urine test from our
routine repertoire.
Have any users done this and, if so, have you encountered any problems
from service users?
Regards,
Iain
