Hi fellow Funky Skills sufferers.
I am seriously annoyed by a change in Edexcel's practices for the On-demand FS ICT that has occurred recently and was not briefed to my knowledge. Edexcel change the exam version number on the Learner Entry Slips 24 hours before the exam is delivered, meaning that if you print them out before then (for example to set up the logins and passwords or act as entry confirmations) they are then wrong.
We have been booking exams and then next day printing off the "Learner Entry Slips" which we then add the login and passwords for our network to. These are then filed awaiting the day of the test. 24 hours before the test we then download the files and the question papers which are then filed in our secure store awaiting the time of the exam. Our invigilators have been trained to ensure that they check the version of the question paper on the learner entry slip with the actual question paper to ensure that each candidate gets the correct one.
Sadly it appears that they have now change the learner entry slips at the point that you decide which version of the question paper to allocate to each student 24 hours before the exam. This means that we now have to re-work all of our filed learner entry slips and risked giving the wrong paper to students if we had not by chance spotted the change this morning.
I have suggest that you change this system back to the previous system or extend the 24 hour download period and only let the learner entry slips be produced in that period.
It is still Monday?
