medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
For the institutions with a small number of users it is more interesting to subscribe as an individual user to the important libraries which provide access to this kind of ressources. For example the National Library of France gives access at distance to many of the databases purchased if one has a researcher card. And there are many libraries which give the possibility to people from outside to subscribe to their ressources.
There are also more and more open access databases. Since 2012, an open access website for the Patrologia latina is available thanks to the Mittellateinisches Seminar in Zurich. Here's the link: http://mlat.uzh.ch/MLS/. As for the latin dictionaries, you can find a free version of DuCange at http://ducange.enc.sorbonne.fr/. There is a free version of a part of the Novum glossarium mediae latinitatis: http://www.glossaria.eu/ngml/. By the way, you can download (in readable pdf) the 1976 edition of Niermeyer on www.archive.org.
Best wishes,
Eduard
