Hi Soumyajit and the others, the Southern Iberian shear zone, in SW
Spain, is a ductile transpressive shear zone whose lower boundary is
marked by a lithological contact between metabasites (amphibolites and
mafic schists) and pelitic schists. The upper boundary is more diffuse
as strain decreases progressively, but it's approximately parallel to
major lithological boundaries. You can find further information at Díaz
Azpiroz and Fernandez (2005) Tectonics 24(3). Hope it helps.
Best regards,
Manuel
