First results published: tomorrow 28 March 2013
The first results from the PSE: UK 2012 study will be broadcast on ITV at
7.30pm on Thursday, 28 March in a special 'Tonight' programme on
'Breadline Britain'. The first report from the PSE UK team 'The
impoverishment of the UK' will be published on this website on Thursday.

Here is an update on recent content on the PSE website:
1) There are two responses to the Government's consultation on child
poverty which closed on 15 February:
a) PSE policy response working paper No. 8
is the PSE team's own submission to the consultation.
b) DWP adds to confusion over consultation on child poverty
by Nick Bailey and Mike Tomlinson, responds to a new online poll on
attitudes to the causes of poverty, by the Department of Work and Pensions
as part of its contribution to its consultation on measuring child poverty.
2) On the UK Government's proposed controversial benefit changes, we've
posted:
a) Controversial welfare benefits cap approved
provides a summary of the debate on the Welfare Benefits Up-Rating Bill.
b) Negative effect' of benefit cuts in Northern Ireland
examines the impact of proposed benefit changes on people in Northern
Ireland, highlighted in a report from an Assembly committee.
3) You'll also find a summary of key news stories and reports including
details on a new Barnardo's report on child care costs.
