Hi, Liu Liu --
What kinds of designers are you interested in? Your question suggests
that you've been looking through the ACM literature, which also suggests
to me that you're interested in the work practices of
UX/interaction/web/interface et cetera designers, which is where my own
research lies. Also, I'm assuming that you've already tracked down its
references and the articles that cite it, all of which are probably useful.
I'm finishing up my dissertation on interaction design work practice, so
I can tell you that there are surprisingly few observational studies of
interaction design and the lives of designers. If that's what you're
interested in, let me know and I'll send a quick list.
