Hi
Can only go on what I do. I perform audio without a booth and I believe the external noise has to be below 35 db for it to be valid. Regarding spiro I do 3 on each test. Hope that helps you a little but sure more off the list will give further advice

Subject: [OCC-HEALTH] audiometry
Hi List,
Can someone guide me to credible information about audiometry? I am particularly interested in finding out if audiometric test can be done without a booth-what are the currrent guidelines in this matter. if so what doe the result mean ethically and professional accountability taken into consideration.
Second, i am interested in finding out what should be the acceptable level reference value for spirometry (FEV1/FVC). how many blows does a client have to do and is it 3 together and how any should be force and slow. Is it acceptable to do all 3 forced blow or should there be forced and slow blows.
Thank you in advance!
