The british society of audiologists do not appear to have any specific procedure guidance for screening audiology however I've attached 2 of their air conducted pure tone test procedures one aimed at none audiologists ( GP and school nurses) that talks about carrying out tests outside normal hospital clinical environment.
Suggests if you do not use booth ambient noise levels should be below 35dB and that attenuating ( hope i've spelt that right!) earphones can further reduce the impact of ambient noise.
So if these are the recommended standards for assessment audiology I would of thought they would be a good bench mark for screening audiology.
