Dear MULTIMODALITY members,
Arlene Archer (University of Cape Town) and Esther Breuer (Cologne
University) invite paper proposals for the book "Multimodality in
Writing. The state of the art in theory, methodology and pedagogy"
which will be published in the "Studies in Writing" series
(http://www.emeraldinsight.com/products/books/series.htm?id=1572-6304).
The academic interest in multimodality has grown immensely during the
past years. It is the aim of this edited volume to present the
state-of-the art on work on the design and production of multimodal
texts which involve writing in different ways. The book employs a
predominantly social semiotic multimodal approach to analyzing texts
and pedagogical processes, thus linking the social with the
representational. Because the topic is of wide interest, the editors
are especially interested in providing an international picture of
research in this field. We will also showcase research from different
domains and disciplines.
Please find more information about the book in the enclosed call for papers.
Kind regards,
Arlene Archer
