Dear All,
I am currently doing my PhD at Leicester investigating urban provisioning and food consumption behaviours in post-medieval England from AD 1500 – 1900. Part of my research involves synthesising published and grey literature zooarchaeological reports from England, to carry out an appraisal of the existing post-medieval faunal evidence.
I would like to make this as comprehensive as possible so if anyone has reports that they wouldn’t mind sending me I would greatly appreciate it! You will be fully acknowledged and referenced.
As for my criteria, it’s a minimum NISP of 100 fragments of cattle, sheep/ goat and pig and the sites have to be in England.
Although my timescale is from the 1500 – 1900, I will also include late medieval data if it overlaps with the post-medieval period.
If you want more information please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Many thanks,
Rebecca L. Gordon
