Many thanks, Umberto, for sharing the sad news.
Tony Legge was one of the first Archaeozoologists we came accross when we
took archaeozoology classes in the UK as part of our doctoral studies. We
had just arrived in Britain and attended a zooarch meeting in Cambridge. He
took the time to introduce us to other researchers, share curious bone
stories and, when the meeting was over, spent some time with us at a local
pub. He made us feel at home indeed. Ever since then we have remained in
touch, and he was always ready to answer to any enquiries we may have had.
He was a great person and we both will certainly miss him.
