medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
On Medtext-l, where Linda also posted her query, people have
mentioned http://archivesetmanuscrits.bnf.fr/ which now includes every
manuscript described in the various catalogues published by the BnF
as well as manuscripts not found in any catalogue (e. g. the very
recent Nouvelles acquisitions françaises and the majority of their Latin
manuscripts). However, the cataloguing standards vary wildly depending
on which catalogue the description is taken from.
If you need to have access to the printed catalogues, the vast
majority are available online, either on Gallica, Google Books, or the
Internet Archive. I have compiled a rather complete list here:
