medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Does anyone know when the Vatican stopped routinely dating offical documents according to the Roman civil calendar (Kalends, Nones, Ides)? I've seen a 1954 commenmorative medal for Pius X's canonization dated "IV Kal. IUN" but the 20th-century encyclicals, etc.that I've browsed all use modern dating.
Thanks,
John
