he's not one of those ordinary NPR flunkies --he used to be with The BeeB, i
beeleeve.
which accounts for the fact that he can actually speak the Queen's English;
more and more, the NPR kids can hardly read (much less speak) that esseteric
laguage, and have a political consciousness approaching that of my dead cat.
i love the way he does his signoff, at about 10x speed:
"phillipreevesnprlondon" bzzzt.
i wonder who came up with the idea of doing a story on Celestine in the first
place --and of digging the World's Expert on the subject out from under his
rock?
> Best of all, he has promised me a pint next time he's in Bristol.
well, i suppose that he can put it on the Expense Account.
but, like i say, he's not at all your ordinary NPRer --those folks would be
too busy moving on to the next Airhead story on their agenda.
>Gotta love him.
whatever turns you on, i suppose, George.
not that there's anything Wrong with That....
c
p.s. turns out that Benedict Cajetan was an archdeacon in the church of
Chartres before being kicked upstairs in the hierarchy --but that's a story
for another string, i suppose.
