Apologies for cross-searching.
Hi,
We were recently notified that EBSCO would no longer be supporting Athens authentication to the Electronic Journals Service (EJS) and have been advised that we should move to EBSCO E-Journals or A-Z. Unfortunately, a full text target for E-Journals is currently unavailable in Ex Libris' SFX Knowledge Base and I have been informed by EBSCO that there are no plans to add this resource as a target as it is technically an abstracts database with links to full text (despite a full text target being available for EJS). We are therefore concerned about how we can best provide access to our subscribed EBSCO journals via SFX, as we are unlikely to be able to afford the subscription charges for EBSCOhost A-Z. Are there any other institutions who are in a similar position and have found a way to resolve this problem? I have logged a request with Ex Libris to pursue adding EBSCOhost E-Journals as a new target in SFX, as this would be the most satisfactory solution for us, and would like to encourage you to do the same if applicable.
Please feel free to contact me off-list if preferred.
Thank you.
Best wishes,
Helen
