The student is entitled to a bilingual dictionary if English is not
their first language but this should reflect their normal way of working
(pages 43 & 44) but these cannot be used in English/English Language
examinations.

The yellow JCQ booklet - page 19 refers to an Oral Language Modifier -
does this relate to interpreter?
We have a student for whom English is not their first language and an
interpreter is being requested.

Surely only a communicator can be used for those with hearing
impairment.
Hopefully there are no occasions where an interpreter would be allowed
to be used.

Subject: Interpreter
Is there any guidance available on when an interpreter can / can't be
used for a candidate taking exams?
