Angela,
Morey and Klippel covers experiments with both wolf and dog:
Morey, D. F., and W. E. Klippel
1991 Canid Scavenging and Deer Bone Survivorship at an Archaic Period Site in Tennessee. Archaeozoologia 4(1):11-28.
Klippel et al. deals with wolves (and owls), not dogs, but specifically addresses digested bone:
Klippel, Walter E., Snyder, Lynn M., & Paul W. Parmalee
1987 Taphonomy and archaeologically recovered mammal bone from southeast Missouri. Journal of Ethnobiology 7(2):155-169.
Both are excellent articles. The 1987 one is available for free here: http://ethnobiology.org/sites/default/files/pdfs/JoE/7-2/Klippeletal1987.pdf
There is also:
Kent, Susan
1981 The dog: an archaeologist's best friend or worst enemy-the spatial distribution of faunal remains. Journal of Field Archaeology 8:367-372.
Good luck,

Subject: [ZOOARCH] Digested bone from dogs
Dear ZOOARCHers,
I am on the hunt for additional references for the analysis, experimentation, etc. of digested animal bone (any animal) from domestic dogs. I have the references below, but I am wondering if anyone knows of any additional papers specifically related to domestic dogs?
Payne & Munson 1985, Jones 1986, Butler 1990, Butler & Schroeder 1998
Cheers,
Angela
