medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Dear Paul
Unfortunately, most people and institutions contributing uploads to archive.org
do not invest also a few minutes of time for adding at least the most essential
meta data. In your case, the "description" entry for "Volume 3" does not apply
to this volume specifically, but is a general description of the periodical, yet
distorted by a rendering problem because the XML source text of the catalog
record includes text within angle brackets which is omitted by the HTML
rendering. If you click on the link for the full record, you will note that the
phrase "Vols. for include unnumbered supplement: Études et documents" is to be
read "Vols. for <nov. 1922-avril 1940> include unnumbered supplement: Études et
documents", as already quoted by Melanie Peters-Turner.
As it seems, Ménager's article was published in two supplements of this kind:
Les divers sens du mot 'contemplatio' chez saint Grégoire le Grand, in La Vie
spirituelle: Études et documents [or Supplements] 59, 1939, pp. 145-169; 60,
1939, pp. 39-56. The five digital versions at archive.org do not extend beyond
no. 30, March 1922.
In Germany, the University library at Tübingen seems to have a complete series
for 1919-1945. If you don't succeed in obtaining a copy in your part of the
world I can order a digital copy by German document delivery service and forward
it to you.
Kind regards, O.
