'I think there for I am'
Hope you remember this statement. With that declaration the march of
modernity began. It denied body, senses, emotions and 'being'.
The mind took over the world and the living and and the last century
has been the out come of that journey.
Our 'knowledge' belong to mental construction as our cognitive tools/
conditions (senses / experience) have been replaced by words and
concepts.
Only when our total integral being is back then only true emotions can
come back.
Then beauty will be understood as fundamental need of the body rather
than art for the mind and may be ergonomics will be re understood in
terms of beauty and rhythm of the body.
By the by 're imagining schools' is an initiative to let children be!
so that their natural process are at work and may be from them we can
also relearn and reclaim our lost bodily grounded beingness.
The dialogue on why children play to be held in Pune, India is to
challenge the existing understanding of toys and games and may be
whole schooling (conditioning) system.
Children are showing us natural design process. exploration of form,
materials, making of things etc
We have about 5000 video clips on various things children do. we
invite interested people to join our journey to observe the child
afresh and first hand.
