Not an anthropologist, but Avril Madrell has been a book (and other publications) on women doing geographical fieldwork, which may be of some interest.
A. Maddrell (2009) Complex Locations: Women’s geographical work in the UK 1850-1970, Royal Geographical Society / Blackwells-Wiley.

hi
this project might be of interest to you as well: Captured by Women by Alison Kahn (2011): http://www.prm.ox.ac.uk/kahn.html - i remember one of its presentations before the movie was made - certain issues were discussed e.g. of women traveling to the site and informants having to carry their boxes of footage back for days. back then all these were details mentioned in the passing, but i hope they were developed in the movie, which i haven't had the chance to see still
greetings
mariya
