Many thanks to all that replied. Looks like video drivers were the culprits on two of our older model of Dells.

Derek,
What do you mean by full system crash? Last year when we rolled out Win 7 (64bit) we found that the video driver was causing the PC to reboot when displaying certain Powerpoint presentations. You may wish to try an update your video driver, especially if it is the driver that mini setup installed.

Subject: Office 2010
Hi there,
I was wondering if anyone out there has experienced any issues with Office 2010, specifically Powerpoint? Our Lab and Lecture Theatre based PCs have both Office 2007 and 2010 installed ( 2010 being the default ) and we are getting reports of full system crashes while using Powerpoint 2010. Office 2007 doesn't appear to be affected in the same way. Event Logs just show recovery from a bugcheck and points to a memory dump but no warnings or errors regarding Office. Office 2007 has been removed from a test system but the problem persists. Also Addins and Printers have been removed but again without success. Any help/suggestions appreciated. Win 7 32 bit. Many Thanks.
