medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Herewith a link to last year's 'Feasts and saints of the day' for 10. October (including Sts. Eulampius and Eulampia; St. Gereon and companions; Sts. Cassius and Florentius; Sts. Victor and Mallosus; St. Cerbonius; St. Paulinus of York; St. John of Bridlington):

Further to Eulampius and Eulampia:
The martyrdom of Eulampius and Eulampia (lower register at left; at lower right, the martyrdom of Tarachus and Andronicus) as depicted in a calendar scene in the earlier fourteenth-century frescoes (betw. 1313 and 1318; conservation work in 1968) by Michael Astrapas and Eutychios in the church of St. George at Staro Nagoričane in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia:

Further to Cassius and Florentius:
In that earlier post's notice of these saints, the link to a view of Cassius as portrayed before the Bonner Münster in a cast of Bonn's great seal from 1244 to 1280 no longer functions. Use this instead:

Further to Victor and Mallosus:
In that earlier post's notice of these saints, the fourth of the seven links to exterior views of Xanten's cathedral of St. Victor no longer takes one directly to the desired image. Use this instead:

In the same notice (and still in the views of Xanten's cathedral), in the parenthesis after 'Clerestory sculptures' please delete ' "romanesque" '; delete the parenthesis after 'Other sculptures'.
In the same notice, the second of the four links to views of Victor's shrine _in situ_ in the high altar of Xanten's cathedral no longer functions in that way.
Best,
John Dillon
