I've seen something like this on a search last week. As with you it had
combined the correct results but the search history display was wrong.
The most common problem I have with the search history Is that it
doesn't keep them in numerical order but it will go 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 4,
etc.
I've only once had it totally lose a line of the search so I retyped
that for my user as we always supply a search history.
I don't seem to have had time to report it yet but will do when I have
to do some searching tomorrow so I'll have fresh examples
If there is anything else we can help you with, please do get back to
me.
Regards
Fiona

Subject: Re: HDAS error report - altered saved search?
Yet another technical issue to report, I'm afraid (and sent to
[log in to unmask]).
I just retrieved and ran a saved search - instead of the expected
1
2
1 and 2
etc
It displayed:
1 MEDLINE (5-hydroxyindoleacetic AND acid).ti,ab 4102
2 MEDLINE exp HYDROXYINDOLEACETIC ACID/ 8314
3 MEDLINE 1 OR 1
9702
4 MEDLINE 1 OR 1
9702
5 MEDLINE 1 OR 1 OR 3
10734
1. Any idea how you COULD get it to combine 1 OR 1?
2. It seemed to pick up the results numbers properly, but very
disconcerting. I tried to replicate it but of course the pop-up tells me
to select at least two lines...
If HDAS is somehow going to edit a saved search, what is the point of
saving? We need to be able to trust the integirty of the 'save' action,
surely...
Screenshot attached.
Has anyone else seen/reported this?
I look forward to your comments.
Kind regards,
Mark Kerr
