Dear Andre,
I would advise Bonsiepe's texts, specially those on Latin-American
design. His experience as Allende's design advisor shows how design can
reach positively social and technological inequalities.
Tomás Maldonado - from the organizing of Weimar's Republic texts to
contemporary own's
But there is an extense literature on design/politics - gender politics,
social democracy in Scandinavia, Cold War....
What exactly are you looking for? Iron Fists (Ss. Heller) , for
instance, shows the links between graphic design and totalitarian
regimes. This was a way of helping to change some aspects of society,
for sure.
All my best
Ethel

I am currently reading Tony Fry's book on "Design as Politics", but am looking fro more concrete / practical examples on how design has achieved to change certain aspects of societiesin a better and faster manner than political governance has managed to do so.
