I have some responses and am awaiting a few more but in the meantime... :
Out of three libraries, only one library has a policy/procedure in place, which was to ask customers not to shelve items. This library did not mention recording usage of the stock.
Two out of the three libraries both collect stock off the tables and allow customers to re-shelve. Of these two, only one library recorded usage.
If anyone else would like to let me know if they have a policy in place regarding returning open access stock to the shelves after customer usage (or not as the case is), please feel free to email me.
I'm also interested if anyone allows customers to take this stock out onto library terraces/cafes etc and if you do, how do you get the stock back on the shelves?
