medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Herewith a link to an earlier (2009) 'Saints of the day' for 21. July (including St. Praxedes; St. Victor of Marseille; St. Symeon Salos; St. Arbogast):

Further to Praxedes:
In that earlier post's notice of this saint, the link to the first of the two Italian-language accounts of Rome's basilica di Santa Prassede no longer functions.
In the same notice, the first of the two links to two views to the entrance of this church takes one to both views. The link that follows does not bring one to a view of the entrance.
In the same notice, in the sentence beginning 'Inside Santa Prassede's ninth-century Cappella di San Zenone' for 'three saints identified as Agnes, Pudentiana, and P.' please read 'three saints usually identified as Praxedes, the BVM, and Pudentiana.'
Praxedes as portrayed in one of the eleventh(?)-century tondi in the prothyrum frieze of Rome's basilica di Santa Pudenziana:

Praxedes (at right) and Pudentiana flanking the BVM and Christ Child as depicted in a later eleventh-century fresco (ca. 1080) in the Marian Oratory of Rome's basilica di Santa Pudenziana:

Further to Victor of Marseille:
Most of the links in that earlier post's notice of this saint have 'handles' (brief URLs re-directing to the actual, longer ones) supplied by TinyURL. As the latter has been refractory for many hours now, it has been impossible to determine which of these may no longer function when TinyURL is performing properly.
Further to Symeon Salos:
In the lemma to that earlier post's notice of this saint, for 'Simeon' please read 'Symeon' (as the latter is conjoined with the Greek adjective _salos_ it seems fairly obligatory to employ a spelling that more accurately reflects the name's initial vowel in Greek).
In the same notice, should the TinyURL link to Derek Krueger's _Symeon the Holy Fool_ not function please use this instead:
