Thank you for telling us this.

We all need to know this kind of crap is happening.

It's not *just homophobic. He's handing out tasks for a wife there.

I remember a friend speaking of another friend whom she had married "I've
told him I'm not going to be his muse. I'll be his wife but I won't be his
bloody muse."

Pardon me if this is a dumb question, but are there not any gay advice
groups -- or just advice groups?

Or is there not some kind of oversight organisation you can turn to.

I got thrown off my GP practice -- in case it helps to know there are
dungheads here... well I was thrown off one because they didn't like me.
That's what it comes down to though they said I was beyond their
catchment: 20 years on. So I applied to the Health Authority, which our
ConDems are busy demolishing, and they imposed me on a practice round the
corner where I had a wonderful doctor. And then after a few months he left
-- he was only a student but I had not realised. That was ok. I got a
locum and then another. All I really need is someone to sign prescriptions

Then one day the practice manager asked me to come in three mornings in a
row to fill out three forms. I said I didnt want to waste time on form
filling.
Wasnt my health important?
Sure, but form filling is something else.
It turned out everything has to go on the computer and she can't make the
software record more than one thing at a time
I responded and was out of the procession
Now i have a doctor who is a long way away; but he's very good. I thought
the other one was good because he was enthusiastic. This one monitors me
and modifies the prescription... So I'm happy
When i told him about the other one's practice manager and that I said she
was a fool, he laughed
Their practice manager does have difficulty in seeing why I object to
having to press a button which says _arrive me_ to say I'm there
That's in the program, she said, as one might say, God did it. It can be
changed, I said. You're an expert, are you?
In these terms, I am yes, I said. Get them to rewrite the phrase in the
source code and recompile it.
Actually it uses a graphic not an alpha string but...
So she doesn't speak to me.
So, coming back to you, Chris, and this terrible situation, we have a
thing where we are entitled to health care. What happens in cases of
violence, I don't know. But if it's just mutual repulsion of know it all
patients and officious staff then they have to get on with it, on the
understanding that the patient is always wrong.

I can live with that.

Get those drugs. You can't live the way you described

L

By all means do them for discrimination; but there are other tacks as well

Fight the bastards. Actually, fight the buggers. That may upset them

Keep us informed

best

L
