Further to Maiolus of Cluny:
Maiolus died at Cluny's priory at today's Souvigny (Allier) and was buried there. His tomb in the _prieurale_ quickly became a pilgrimage destination. One of its earliest recorded visitors is St. Fulcramnus / Fulcrannus (d. 1006). Towards the end of the eleventh century Maioulus' remains were placed with those of his successor St. Odilo of Cluny (who had also died at Souvigny) in a new double tomb in the middle of the nave. Two reconstructed thirteenth-century _gisants_ from that otherwise now vanished monument survive atop these saints' modern reliquary tomb also in the middle of the nave. See the first two views here:

In about 1440 a monumental double reliquary for both Maiolus and Odilo was erected in this church. A brief, English-language description of it is at right here:
