There's probably a 'proper' way to do this, but assuming you don't have Photoshop available, try:
1. display your slide full-screen in Powerpoint (View Slideshow)
2. Hit the 'Print Screen' button on your keyboard
3. Open Microsoft Paint (Start / Programs / Accessories / Paint
4. Edit / Paste
5. File / Save As, making sure you select Jpeg format
(If you have Photoshop, then File / New / OK / Edit-Paste means you can sharpen and brighten it a bit if necessary...)
No doubt there are more graphically-literate solutions, but this will work, and just takes a few seconds.
Kind regards,
Mark.

I am trying to create a poster for the HTAi conference, where we have to submit a JPEG file for electronic display. I have just attempted to convert an existing poster in Powerpoint with dismaying consequences. The JPEG looks nothing like the powerpoint. The text got mangled in the header and the Forest plot slid off the bottom of the poster, leaving a large blank in the middle. Is anyone else having problems with this? Can anyone suggest a solution?
Many thanks
