medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Herewith a link to an earlier 'Saints of the day' for 4. April (including Sts. Agathopus and Theodulus of Thessalonica; St. Isidore of Seville; St. Plato of Sakkoudion; St. Peter of Poitiers; Bl. William of Scicli):

Further to Isidore of Seville:
In that earlier post's notice of this saint, the object identified as his present reliquary is rather its eleventh-century predecessor in the Colegiata de San Isidoro in León. Herewith some further views of that object:

Further to Peter of Poitiers:
In that earlier post's notice of this saint, the first and the last links to the views of the ruin of the château des évêques de Poitiers at Chauvigny no longer function.
Today (4. April) is also the feast day of:
St. Zosimas of Palestine (d. 5th cent.). This is the priest Zosimas (in Latin texts, Zosimus) of the legend of St. Mary of Egypt. Orthodox churches commemorate him today, as did also the RM prior to its revision of 2001 (when he ceased to grace its pages).
Links to views of Zosimas as depicted offering Communion to Mary of Egypt will be found under her name in this year's 'Feasts and saints of the day' for 1. April:

Zosimas of Palestine as depicted in the later twelfth-century mosaics of the basilica cattedrale di Santa Maria la Nuova in Monreale (this image is part of the program of desert saints in the diakonikon):
